Every TMS has workflows. Ours were designed from the start for agents to do the work and people to handle what agents can't yet; safely, reliably, and with a human owning the loop.

Traditional TMS workflows are chains of human steps with a bit of automation between them. FreightSuite was built from scratch once it was clear that agents would do the work. So the workflow assumes an agent handles each step, and only hands off to a person when it hits something the technology can't yet resolve.

By trade lane and mode
A Shanghai–Felixstowe ocean job runs a different flow from a Frankfurt–Chicago air one. Set the workflow per lane, per mode, or both.
By customer, to their SOP
A default flow for everyone, and a bespoke one for the customers who have their own standard operating procedures. Their rules, encoded, followed every time.
Down to the unit and the team
Allocate each task to an organisational unit, then to a team within it. Work lands with the right people without anyone routing it by hand.
Agents and people in the same flow
Assign a step to an agent or to a person, side by side. Start with agents on the routine steps and move the line as your confidence grows.

Four kinds of trigger, combined however you need.
Event-based
A booking confirmed, a document received, a vessel departed. Something happens; the workflow starts.
Previous task
One step finishing kicks off the next, so a whole chain runs without anyone pushing it along.
Manual
A person starts it when judgement says so. Still one click, and everything downstream is automatic.
API
Your customer's system, your carrier's, your own — anything that can call an endpoint can start a workflow in FreightSuite.

Automation only works when it's reliable and safe. That's what we built.
Skills you configure
Each agent carries advanced, specific skills — quoting, document handling, cost matching — tuned to how your operation works.
Autonomous or semi-autonomous
Let a step run on its own, or require a human approval before it proceeds. Decide per workflow, per step.
Move the line as trust grows
Start with approvals on everything. As the agents prove themselves, remove them one step at a time — until people are only on exceptions.
Bring one of your SOPs. We'll build it as a workflow live and show you which steps run themselves.
